Community Evaluations and Evidence Accumulation
EEG analysis and behavioral modeling of implicit community evaluations and resident well-being.
As a research assistant at Lifedu Educational Technology Co., Ltd., supervised by Dr. Ze Geng (Principal Investigator), I completed all data analyses for this collaborative project on community environments and resident well-being.
The study combines questionnaires, a community–valence Implicit Association Test (IAT), and EEG. I preprocessed the EEG recordings, extracted single-trial centroparietal positivity (CPP) slopes, and fit drift diffusion models to IAT response times and accuracy using PyDDM. I used BIC to compare models and incorporated CPP slopes into drift-rate models to examine the relationship between neural and behavioral evidence accumulation.
The manuscript, “Community Environment and Resident Well-Being from an Affordance Perspective: Implicit Associations and Evidence Accumulation,” has been submitted to the Journal of Environmental Psychology. I am the second author; Ze Geng is the corresponding author.
